Summer Science Experiments
I have started the kids on some daily lessons keeping them on track for school in a few short months. Surprisingly they are loving it! As part of it I got a science experiment book. The "physics tricks" are a lot of fun! They wanted to do the whole book in one day. We talked about invisible skin, like the polar bears who have oily skin that protects them from the cold water. Also, making their own magnify glass with water and a sandwich bag. The conducted an experiment with mixing colors! Of course nothing says science like a volcano. Then last but not least the do it yourself glue project. They are definetly glued to science....for now!
Check back in and see as we make our own rainbows, lava lamps and more!
Going Bananas!
It was a really hot day! After a great dinner I thought lets make some frozen bananas! The kids carried the timer around for over and hour just willing for it to buzzz so they could dip their bananas in some chocolate. I think at first they were very curious and unsure about how this was going to taste. But after first bite they were already grabbing for a second one. It was so fun and we will definetly do it again!
Jump Jumping to fun
Moms next idea was lets put the sprikler on the trampoline!! Ya!! Where I am safe and dry behind my camera. :) Josh is still complaining about his sore stomach muscles I don't know if its more from the laughing or the wrestling. Either way all the smiles were well worth it!
Slippery Fun
It's amazing what a little water and a slippery slide can do for 3 little kids and one big kid. Just some backyard fun!

Silas and Zion are in the same swimming class this year. Zion is excited he has been waiting forever for this! Silas actually needs to move up a class but they wont let him because he cant touch! Hopefully he will grow some before the next session and get to move to the next level. Zion keeps his eye on his brothers at all times and steals the ladies hearts every time! My babys...well not so babyish any more.
It is all fun and games!
After Malakai's last day of school we had a party!! Well it was quite the party for 3 little boys! There was bike riding and races, all the food and snacks they could eat, with slip and slide and waters fights and board games too! We had so much fun and it was the perfect way to kick start summer. I love having my kids home with me. They are each so unique and wonderful! Summer here we come..............!
Burning Rubber Baby
My kids have developed a need, a need for speed! Malakai is absolutely amazing to watch on his quad he jumps, spins and peels out with skill beyong his age. Silas started off rough on his dirt bike after nearly breaking thru a wood fence! But now he rides until his hands are sore and his training wheels are bent beyond use. Zion can't wait to get his own dirt bike. He scares me the most! He jumps on the bigger kids "toys" and will just take off. He isn't scared of much. Oh how i love my kids. Okay, so I am usually watching them with my hands covering my eyes and a prayer on my lips! Denis the menace has nothing on these kids!

Little Boys love rainy days!
The kids played in the rain. Silas thought it would be a great time to use his duck call and chase the ducks. Zion followed him around with his umbrella but he still managed to get more wet and dirty then the rest of us. Silas of course thought he could fly with the umbrella, so he found the highest pile he could climb up on and jumped! I think perhaps he may be considering some paper wings for next time. :) My little boys love rainy days!
We took Silas and Zion to fish at a pond. They each caught several fish! Silas' casting skills are amazing, what a little outdoorsman he is! Zion was more interested in naming all the worms and reeling his line in. But he still managed to snag a couple. Silas came up with a song, "bite my worm fishy, bite my worm fishy, I promise to let you go!" Believe it or not it seemed to bring him some luck. I think when Silas is a Grandpa taking his grandkids to fish at that same pond he will still be singing that song! I am blessed with amazing kids who bring me so much happiness.
Can we build it?
We took the kids to a "build it workshop" at Lowes. What a great time they had! They could barely contain themselves all morning before it was time to go! They all had excellent building skills, they get lots of practice at home. The each completed a race car, and received badges for their "skills!" Mom and Dad went home with bruised finger tips from holding nails but it was well worth it!
