Tirzah Halo 2 months 3 weeks
We took Tirzah to feed the birds, for her first time! It's a treasured activity for the boys they were excited to take Tirzah. In all the excitement I realized Tirzah is almost 3 months old. I see her smile and she warms me inside out. When I lay her to sleep I miss her until she wakes in the morning. She has changed our family, we are complete because of her. These pictures show just how much she is loved in our not so little family!

Squaw Rock Camping
With a hectic week behind us, I wanted to get away with the kids for the night. We were glad the weather held for us. Tirzah took her first camping trip with expertise. The boys fished, built fires, made friends, skipped rocks, went on hikes and played games. Tirzah and I snuggled by the fire with a good book! We really had a great time.
Silas the Defender
Silas has truly enjoyed soccer. I had to miss his last game, the only game I've ever missed. I was looking forward to seeing the pictures dad took. I got to hear over and over again about some steals he had and some goals too. I sure love this kid.

Zion's Greeeat First day of PreK
It's been a long wait for Zion. He was ready to go back to school weeks ago! Today was the day for him! He wore is Karate Chop fruit shirt, that he's been so excited to wear. Preschool is bittersweet, hard to believe this is our 5th year of preschool!

Who are we? MUSTANGS!
Malakai had his first football game, he is a starter on the line. One of the smallest kids on the team and he plays with his hole heart. He never missed a hit or a tackle. I was so proud of him. It's going to be a fun season! He had nearly the largest cheering crowd in the stands too!

Tirzah is 2 months
Miss Tirzah turns 2 months today! What a blessing this baby girl has been to me. Her smile makes the day shine! She coos and giggles in the happiest, most perfect way. God has plans for this little girl, and I am blessed to be her mom.
Silas' First Soccer Game
Silas played in his first soccer game and loved it. I had so much fun watching him I forgot to take pictures during the game! More games to come and yes, more pictures too!

Labor Day Parade
Nothing like a small town parade, sitting on the street with friends, family and neighbors. Malakai rode on the Grid Kids float and had a great time. Silas and Zion chased candy with their friends and cousins. Tirzah enjoyed her morning nap and slept right thru the bands, sirens, and shrieking kids. A great day, with fantastic people!

Malakai is off to 3rd grade!
Something about changing schools sure made 3rd grade so much harder for me. No longer can I watch him make his trek to school, or have him stop at the corner and blow me a kiss. He's a big kid now. I held his hand till we were aroung the corner, then he had no more of that. Ready set go, Malakai!
Oh the places you'll go!
Silas is off to Kinder! It was a long walk to the portables for me. But he had pep in his step and was anxious to be off. He said Hello to a few special friends, and got to right to work. He wanted to walk by himself this morning, of course we said we had to take him, it's the rule! We are blessed that he has the same Kinder teacher Malakai had. I am anxious and excited to hear how his first day goes!

Malakai Turns 8!!
We started a new tradition this year, that the kids had the option of taking a birthday trip with mom and dad or a friend birthday party. Suprisingly they each chose a trip! We have had a fun year of planning unique fun trips for each kid that reflects their interests and hobbies. Malakai having loved trains since he was one year old, picked a train trip! He recieved a gift card and a coupon for build a bear so we also included that too. He recieved a small party at home the night of his birthday, he chose pizza, chips, and rootbeer for dinner! He asked my mom to make a Thomas Cake too. I felt like this might be the last year of Malakai being a little boy. He has loved Thomas the Tank Engine from day one. It was a bittersweet birthday for me. I will probably have to make a Thomas Cake for his 18th birthday just for the memories! :) He rode the speeder train at Snoqualmie Railroad and participated in Railroad days. He talked and interacted with many train lovers just like him. Kai can hold a conversation about the ins and outs about trains that goes way beyond basic knowledge, we love that he is so passionate about something educational and fun too! On the way home I asked him where he wanted his birthday party next year, he said, what friend party? I'm going on a trip! Life is good, and I am blessed in amazing ways.

Tirzah One month
Tirzah had a big day today! It's not every day that you turn one month! She wore a sunny yellow dress for the occasion. She had her doctors appointment and got an extra snuggle from her doctor who just adores her. Big Z had his 4 year old check up today too. Time passes too quickly but I cherish each moment!
Grid Kids Practice
All Summer football has been the main attraction at our house. Every Uncle, Grandpa, friend, even a grandma that came over got recruited to play some football in the yard. Plays were drawn into the grass with spray paint, old tires became targets for throwing, and Silas and Zion became Kai's personal tackling dummies. All for the much anticipated moment, grid kids!
The day has a whole new meaning to Malakai....when is practice, is it time to get ready for practice??? I believe dad and the brothers are enjoying it just as much as Malakai is. Last night at 10 pm Kai and Josh were bother bent over a paper drawing plays and talking strategy, who would of known football would be so much fun? Malakai knew that's for sure!

A great day for the pool
Grandma Jude loaned us her pool, a great day to swim. The kids were busy flipping, diving and being boys. Tirzah made her first debute in her swimsuit, she layed in the sun and got her toes wet. A perfect day!

Football Camp
Malakai was able to attend football camp this past week in Tri Cities with Josh's brother Luke. He had a wonderful time and got him really excited for Grid Kids this fall. He has been really sore but anxious to go back each evening. He was able to get a picture with Coach Moore which totally made him happy, he has some serious hero worship going on. Malakai sure is blessed to have grandma Jude and Chief, he had a wonderful time!
Tirzah Halo Aman
On 7/9/2011 we welcomed Tirzah Halo Aman into our family. She weighed 8.15 and was 21 inches long, she was born at 5:30 pm. I cannot begin to describe the feeling of completeness that she gave me. My heart was overwhelmed with love for her and my 3 sons. Malakai and Zion were overwhelemed to tears over their new sister. Our family circle is complete, our lives are filled to the brim with love and happiness over this precious little girl, our miracle.
Camping Trip
We got an itch to take the trailer out, so we headed out to the Columbia Gorge and stayed at Cascade Locks for two night. Silas caught his first "columbia river" fish, he was quite impressed with himself, he said, "took me 3 minutes, not too bad!" The weekend flew by, but we had a great time enjoying each other and the beautiful area. We missed Malakai but he enjoyed his weekend with his cousins.
Belly pictures
Believe it or not I felt like time flew by! I realized I didn't have any belly pictures. During our camping trip we were able to get a few. Amazing how God made a woman's body to carry a life, an amazing gift!

First Tball game
Silas and Zion had their first Tball game. It was so adorable! Silas slid in at nearly every base, Zion took his baseball stance very seriously! They thought they were pretty cool in their cleats, pants and batting helmets. They are very ready for a summer filled with lots of Tball.

Monster Truck Show
Since I showed the kids a video on You Tube of some Monster Trucks its been a constant question, when do we get to go!?!? Well, we got a great deal on tickets and free pit passes and headed to the track. The boys, all 4, were so excited! They all agreed that the MX trio was the best part! Zion said during the show, "I have a secret, im going to try those tricks on my quad!" Lord help me. I enjoyed watching all their happy faces, and listening to all their boy talk. They came home with race flags all signed by the drivers and a happy memory! What a great day it was, nearly 5 hours at the track and 4 happy faces, well worth it!
First TBall Practice
The long awaited moment for a little boy, his first baseball practice! Silas and Zion started Tball on Friday. Josh and I are coaching with Malakai being an assistant coach. Zion kept dropping to his "wrestling" stance instead of his "baseball" stance, according to the assistant coach. Silas is battling left and right hand throwing and batting. We managed to conquer what hand the glove belongs on, and what direction we run for first base for a dozen energy filled 4-6 year olds. More practices, games and YES pictures to come!

Silas Graduates Preschool
Silas my middle son, was a big boy from the time he could walk. He had the most challenges and developed a drive of determination to meet challenges head on from day one. He always preferred to just do it himself. I always cherish the moments he lets me snuggle him and hold him close, because out of all three boys the chances are rare and far between. If I can catch him, or pull him out a tree long enough to give him a smooch he quickly wipes it off. There is something special about a middle child. Not quite the big kid and not quite the baby, a special place in a mom's heart for her middle child. He goes on a scooter ride and comes back with sticks tucked in his pocket and leaves clutched in his little hands. His eyes are always in the sky at the flying birds, or nose to the ground saving some wondering ant. He has already informed me I am only allowed to walk him to Kindergarten the first day, after that I just gotta let him do it on his own. Needless to say, I was a teary mess tonight. I felt his little hand slip from my grasp and see him setting off in amazing ways, that only a mom knows her child is capable of. I know you are thinking, "Sonshine, come on it's preschool graduation!" To me, and to Silas its much more. Time moves too quickly and steals moments like these at a frightening pace. Cowboy up son, this world is yours for the taking.
