2nd Grade

 

Malakai started 2nd grade today! It gave me a great reason to get my blog caught back up. He was up dressed and ready to go before 7. He was really excited to start school this year. I am feeling so blessed with the teacher he has. Silas and Zion are anxiously awaiting their turn to start preschool. My first year of having all 3 kids in school! We'll see how bored I get!

Portland Zoo

 

My friend Heidi and I decided to be brave and take our combined 7 kids to the Portland Zoo. It made for a great last adventure before school started. The animals were amazing both ours and the ones we went to see! We walked miles, literally!

Walla Walla

 

During the last week of summer I really wanted to take the kids on some short day trips. One of my favorite places is Walla Walla. I took the kids to Pioneer Park, and Fort Walla Walla, we enjoyed lunch downtown! Our poor feet were tired by the end of the day, but it was a perfect day to me. I am blessed with 3 perfect little boys!

Malakai had a rock star birthday at the Prosser park and pool with his friends and Josh's family. With 15 rock stars eating cake, having water fights, and swimming we were busy! But the birthday boy had lots of fun. I didn't know turning 7 could be so much fun!

Bombs Away Malakai is 7

 

Malakai had a few birthday parties! Such a blessed kid he is! He turned 7 in a big way! His birthday with my family was army themed. We had a army cake complete with a tanker car. With lots of food and great family time the party was a success! Malakai primarily asked for money for his birthday so he could get a DSi! He made enough that he could get it and still save some. What an amazing little boy. That has showed me the very best about life. Happy 7th Birthday baby boy!

Body Painting

 

As a fun family activity I came up with a body painting activity. Of course if quickly got out of control and turned into a paint fight/slip and slide activity! But I was estatic with the results! Everyone enjoyed themselves and learned that art isn't always about coloring inside the lines!

Fishermen

 

The kids fell in love with fishing this summer! They caught so many fish! They all are really good and casting and hooking fish! They caught them from river banks, docks, boats and bridges. Raising boys is the best job!

Yakattack Kayak Rentals

 

My cousin has a Kayak rental business in Prosser. He asked me to take some pictures for advertising purposes. It was beautiful on the river and was a lot of fun!

Leavenworth WA

 

While we were in Leavenworth for the wedding we had a little mini vacation. Josh and I took the kids downtown and did all the great things the little town is known for. The kids ate ice cream, tried on hats and sunglasses, had a little rootbeer and made lots of smiles for mom! After the wedding, squeezing some last moments out of the weekend, we went on a river float. It was a special time with the bride and groom before they left for their honeymoon. We swam at a really neat swimming hole and Josh jumped out a cool rock. A great time was had by us all!

Eric and Katie Blankenship Wedding

 

My brother got married in Leaveworth Wa. Silas was asked to be the ring bear! What a handsome ring bear he was. He did an amazing job! He really stole the show at the reception dancing! The bride and groom were beautiful. It was a gorgeous day, and made me so completely happy for my brother to find such a perfect person. I love her like a sister and a best friend too!

Bill's Berry Farm

 

We took the kids to a Berry Farm for a summer day filled with some old fashioned fun! One our way out of town there was a hot air balloon taking off. The kids love the hot air balloons and really enjoyed getting close to this one.

The 4th of July

 

For 4th of July we got together with my brother and his wife. They spoiled the kids rotten with lots of great fireworks! We had a blast letting them off. We got lots of boat riding, fishing and eating done too. It was amazingly beautiful watching the fireworks show from a boat in the river! A day that will never be forgotten!

BBQ with the Andrew Family

 

We had a BBQ with some wonderful friends out at their house in Alderdale. Their place is amazing with wide open spaces and some beautiful sun sets. We brought our blow up slide and as you can see the kids had a great time! The yard was flooded with water and the kids fell asleep on the way home but a perfect day it was! An amazing part of life is having good friends!

A great summer day!

 

A perfect summer day if you are 7, 4 and 3! I believe we hit 4 parks that hot summer day. Josh took the kids to all our favorite spots while I did some grocery shopping. I think they had more fun that I did!
