Halloween
We had a wonderful Halloween! Lots of fun times and lots of candy. They kids had to know who had the most candy at the end of the night so we weighed there bags. Of course at bedtime they were already full of ideas on what they want to be next year! :)
Leaves of Fun
Silas and Zion have been waiting and waiting for the leaves on our trees to fall so that they could rake piles up and jump in them! I was trying to clean house and get ready for Halloween but I couldn't resist joining in on the fun, and of course take pictures! :)

Malakai visits the Seahawks
Malakai was given Seahawk tickets on his 7th birthday. It was a long 2 month wait for the 7 year old who has talked of little else than to see the Hawks play. Not only did he get to see them play he saw it from some of the best seats! Thanks to Uncle Eric and Aunt Katie (and Aunt Katie's dad) he had an amazing experiene. I stayed up late the night before tying a blanket for him. Of course he said he never ended up using it! lol But still a mom has to try! He is still talking about his trip to Seattle to see the Seahawks play. He said there was a million people there! What an amazing day for an amazing little boy.

Preschool Harvest Party
Silas and Zion had their preschool harvest party today. Yesterday the kids and I made orange and black cookies and stuffed treat bags with goodies for them to hand out to their friends! All the kids were so precious and adorable! Silas has known for months he wanted to be a shark! You would think shark costume would be easy to find, Nope! Thank goodness for Ebay! My Aunt made Zion's costume. He was so adorable. He is going thru a I love purple faze so the clown idea was born. Much of the patchwork on Zion's vest I recognize from various blankets and projects my aunt has made. It is such a neat keepsake. We are blessed with a talented Auntie! With two kids in preschool, Zion asked if my mom could come help his class. We were glad to have the extra help! There were lots of projects and fun to be had in a small amount of time. What a great day! Now for Malakai's party on Friday and Halloween festivities this weekend!

Pumpkin Memories
Today we carved pumpkins! What a great time we had. Zion could not remember carving pumpkins so it was fun to watch him. He had careful precision like a surgeon, he was determined to do the work himself! Aunt Katie got the job of helping him, she had the patience of an angel. Silas said he wanted his pumpkin to look just like him. Josh drew it out so the pumpking was missing his two front teeth. lol Silas was happy with the results. Malakai and I knocked his pumpkin out in no time! Now they are sitting on our deck waiting for the candles and are ready to shine! Great pumpkin memories!

New Quads
Silas and Zion have been waiting quite patiently for their own real quads. We found a couple great deal this weekend on two of them! Silas got the one with the racks and Zion got the cameo one. They are very excited to ride! Of course lots of pictures to come!
A night for the Boys
Malakai had a sleep over with a couple of his friends. When he first asked me I was like sure no problem, as the weekend grew closer I started to think what did I get myself into! lol Josh had to work, so I was flying solo. My brother Eric and Katie had Silas and Zion over for their own special snack and movie night. The kids made t-shirts, played outside, played board games, had pillow fights and watched movies too! The gave each other band names for their rock and roll t-shirts, We have Kai, Haid, Col and Rye. :) There was a little bit of craziness but a whole lotta fun! :) One the way to taking the kids home, of of the boys asked, "can we do this next weekend too?!?" lol What a great bunch of kids!

Preschool Field Trip
Today was the big day for Silas and Zion. A field trip to Schells Corn Maze! The kids did a hay bale maze, corn maze, hay bale slide, petting zoo, roasted marshmellows, hay ride and picked a pumpkin too! They were so cute! I realized that this is Silas' last year in preschool and he'll be in kindergarten and with Zion's last year in preschool next year I will have gone 6 times to that corn maze! lol It was a great day, so great none of the kids wanted to go home!

To the Mountains
Uncle Eric calls, says load up, lets head for the hills! The boys' absolutely favorite thing to do! A day of shooting, hunting, and lots of outdoor fun. Uncle Eric had a cool project for his recent Elk kill. He was skinning the head and bleaching to mount it. I am outdoor kinda girl and even to Eric and I the smell was terrible. Silas and Zion didn't even notice. It was a great day, bad smell and all.

Sunday Playdate
Silas and Zion wanted to invite a couple friends over to have a play date. We decided we would make cookies and pizza too. The kids had a great time playing outside, cooking, playing dress up and having a puppet show. I think everyone had a great time. Zion said he needed to take a nap after the company had gone home! :) That's always a good sign.

Pumpkin Picking
The kids are very excited to carve pumpkins this year. They each already know just what they want to carve. Today they begged to go get pumpkins, so off we went! Little did I know they would each want the biggest pumpkins to be found in the patch. Of course there was no way I could haul them home in my bug, so we will be heading back soon to grab those perfect pumpkins!
A day off
Friday has been the day off we have all been looking forward to all week! A break from homework, sports and the hussle bussle school brings. The kids and I had a great day playing with legos and making a picnic lunch for our favorite Aunt. Well my Aunt and the kids great Aunt, but favorite all around. It was the perfect Fall day, and I am always so thankful for these times when I can sit back and just enjoy my kids being kids! Lots of fun things planned for this evening when dad gets home and for the weekend to come.
Bakers in training
The kids like nothing more than baking! It takes the first 15 minutes of discussion and argument to decide who gets to do what. The eggs are always the coveted job! At first I always want to pull my hair out and I think why did I involve them. But it doesn't take long of watching Zion licking the spoon and Silas stirring with his little tongue peeking out in concentration and Malakai measuring and making sure we are all following directions. So what if they turn the mixer on full speed and I have mix all over my kitchen, or if every spoon and bowl gets used. Pooring a cup of milk and dunking some warm cookies make it all worth it! I think someday I'm gonna be a grandma and I'll be making warm cooking with my grandkids. Life is amazing if you stop and smell some flowers or stop and taster the cookie dough!
